2009 Church/Charge Conference
Peace Parish will be included in a cluster conference with Oxford and Clover Ridge UMC’s this Thursday, November 5 at 7:00 P.M. at Salem, Van Horne. Elberon will host Pastor Appreciation Potluck on Sunday, November 8 at 12:30 P.M. All are invited to thank Pastor Norm and Pastor Jena for all they do for our parish. Bring food to share if you wish, and your own table service. Drinks will be provided.

Hanging of the Greens
At Elberon: After worship & fellowship (about 10 A.M.) on Sunday, November 22. All are welcome to help!
At Salem: Friday, November 27 at 2:00 pm. Help is needed from Worship committee members and anyone in the congregation. Bring a snack to share during and after the decorating!

Strength for Service Sunday
On Sunday, November 8, we will have the opportunity to thank our military troops by collecting a special Strength for Service offering.
Strength for Service is a daily devotional book that is specifically written for those in the service of others. Your gift will help to send these much-needed books to our military men and women overseas who protect our freedom daily. Five dollars covers the cost to produce and ship one book!
Please place your donation in an envelope marked Strength for Service or eartag your check and place with your regular offering.

Saturday, November 14 – 10 am to 2 pm
Free Youth Leader training Pictured Rocks U.M. Camp & Retreat Center, 12004 190th St, Monticello IA is holding a free youth leader (paid or volunteer) training on how to plan an effective youth retreat. The event is Saturday, November 14th from 10-2 and includes lunch. Please register at least a week prior by calling the camp office at 319-465-4194.

Norway Senior Dining
is held each Thursday. Meals are $3.00. Call by 8 a.m. on Thursdays for a meal. Contact Barb Hastings 227-7504 for more information.
