Basic Lay Speaking Training is being offered
Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31, 2009 (beginning at 6:00 p.m. Friday evening and 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday) at Pictured Rocks U.M. Camp and Retreat Center at Monticello. Cost: $35 – includes lodging, meals and materials. Contact the parish office for registration form.

Would you please collect the song inserts from the bulletins so they can be brought back to the parish office for reuse. We will be doing Shout, Here I Am through October.

NORWAY UMW HOLIDAY BAZAAR
THIS SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17, 11:00 TO 2:00 P.M. BAKERY CRAFTS LUNCH

2009 CROP Walk next Sunday, October 18, Will start at Salem UMC, Van Horne at 1:00 P.M. and then will walk to the Benton Community Track and continue there for about an hour and back to the church for food and fellowship. Donation envelopes are at each church.

Country Supper and Bazaar will be held Sat. Oct. 24th from 5-7 at Salem United Methodist Church in Van Horne. There will be craft items and homemade Country Goodies. The meal consists of ham balls or beef sandwich with potato casserole, baked beans, salads, pies, cake and drink. Cost is a Free Will Offering. Carry outs are available by calling 228-8364.

King’s Kids – A Christian Care Center
is opening soon at St. John Lutheran Church, Keystone. Care will be provided for children 6 weeks-10 years of age, Monday-Friday from 6 A.M.-6 P.M. Enrollments are now being accepted. Part-time employees are needed to staff the center. If you are interested in enrolling a child or working at the center contact the church office at 442-3514.

Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity
