WHAT’S COMING UP:
Kids Hangout at Elberon
A kickoff celebration is planned for Monday, August 30 which will include games for the kids starting at 4 o’clock and ending with supper served at 5:30. Grilled hot dogs and brats with all the trimmings. Root beer floats too! Everyone is welcome.

Parish Tailgate Party @ Salem
at 4:00 P.M. prior to the first Benton Community home football game on Friday, Sept. 3. Bring your lawn chairs and join in the fun!!!

New Peace Parish Ministry!!!
Starting on Tuesday, Sept. 14, Peace Parish will host a Communion Service at the Keystone Care Center from 10:30 till 11:00 A.M. in the north meeting room. This will be an ongoing ministry with the service being on the second Tuesday of each month. It is hoped members of the parish will support this ministry by attending as well.

Salem Cookout Lunch
Next Sunday, August 29 after worship (11:15). Everyone welcome!

Parish Event at Blairstown at 3:00 P.M. today in the church basement. A light supper will be served about 4:45 P.M.

BENTON CO. next week bring pasta/pasta sauce (especially spaghetti) or your choice. Collection boxes are located at entryways.


TAMA CO. next week bring canned or packaged meals (mac n cheese, Spaghettios, etc.) or your choice to the Elberon church.


Please remember that outdated food will not be accepted at any of the food pantries.


Empty pill bottles should be clean and have all labels removed.

OTHER THINGS:
The Norway church is looking for someone to clean a couple hours each week. Cleaning duties can be rotated. It is not expected that everything be done each week. $12 an hour. Please contact Bruce Miller at 227-7448.


Norway Senior Dining
is held each Thursday. Meals are $3.00. Call by 8 a.m. on Thursdays for a meal. Contact Barb Hastings 227-7504 for more information. During August the Norway Methodists are in charge of the meals. Please contact Joan Mithelman if you are available to help.
