youth) will resume on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. @ Salem. Persons from each church are being asked to donate the
food items for the meal provided. Each church is asked to furnish for a month and
be responsible once per quarter. A signup sheet that lists the menu, items
needed, and a space for name of person providing will be available the month
prior to need. Salem will be providing for September w/ the signup sheet now
available on the board in Salem Hall. It will rotate to Elberon for October and
Norway for November. The needs will be for non-perishable items in the months
that Elberon and Norway provide so that they can be brought anytime prior to

Important information on Ingathering Kits
It was discovered that spiral notebooks purchased from Walmart have an American flag along with "Made in U.S.A.". If your church is filling school kits, take special notice of this. The flag and wording must be covered with a permanent marker or cut out. We need to make every effort to comply with UMCOR Depot policy as stated in the Thanksgiving Ingathering booklet--page 11.
Also, Iowa-Nigeria is requesting NO National Geographic magazines this year. They have an over abundance at this time. We thank everyone for generous hearts and may you continue serving in various ways for Thanksgiving Ingathering.
In Christ's Service,

Putting our faith into action is at the very heart of our Christian calling and not just something that we do in our spare time after we have reached our personal goals. Through Volunteers in Mission every person in the church has the opportunity to serve and to live their calling and their lives more faithfully. And when we reach out in this way, using what God has given us in the service of others, we have "life-transforming" experiences. Questions contact the parish office
