Do you need a speaker (short notice or in the future) at an upcoming church event or for a program? Interpreters from the Iowa-Nigeria Partnership committee are available to come to tell interesting and heart warming stories of Nigerian mission work. Hear them tell how the Iowa InGathering kits are received! The excitement of villagers who have a village well! The eagerness of women who are learning to read and write! The thrill when the blind can see after cataract surgery!
From Bloomfield to Osceola, from Lake Park to Des Moines, we have speakers ready, willing and able to share their mission tales.  Nine Iowans traveled to Nigeria in June so let us share our story with your group.  Contact: Beverly Nolte, 515 266 4186, e-mail: bnmedical@aol.com.

Those needing to attend the Parish Executive Council Meeting are: Pastor Rose Marie, Eric Townsley, Larry Carlson, Darla Wenndt, Steve Allman, Gina Embray, Julie Kaiser, Sally Donald, Melissa Barnard, Don Logan, Wayne & Betty Klemmensen, Lois Stull, Ruth Laackmann, Alicia Lidtke, Brenda Selk, Bruce Miller, John Brockschink, Dorothy Blackburn, Joan Mithelman, Nola Moser, Mike Morse.

Important information on Ingathering Kits
It was discovered that spiral notebooks purchased from Walmart have an American flag along with "Made in U.S.A.". If your church is filling school kits, take special notice of this. The flag and wording must be covered with a permanent marker or cut out. We need to make every effort to comply with UMCOR Depot policy as stated in the Thanksgiving Ingathering booklet--page 11.
Also, Iowa-Nigeria is requesting NO National Geographic magazines this year. They have an over abundance at this time. We thank everyone for generous hearts and may you continue serving in various ways for Thanksgiving Ingathering.
In Christ's Service,
Ranee & Gaylen Goettsch
Iowa Thanksgiving Ingathering Co-Chairs

Please join us for our fall Volunteers in Mission Roundup at Camp Wesley Woods on August 24-26, 2012.
Putting our faith into action is at the very heart of our Christian calling and not just something that we do in our spare time after we have reached our personal goals. Through Volunteers in Mission every person in the church has the opportunity to serve and to live their calling and their lives more faithfully. And when we reach out in this way, using what God has given us in the service of others, we have "life-transforming" experiences. Questions contact the parish office
